About us
Worker Bee Brass Band was formed by a group of Manchester’s most in-demand session musicians. With a wealth of experience playing, composing and arranging music at the highest level, we decided that what Manchester needed was a Brass Band that reflected it’s rich musical heritage.
Worker Bee’s musicians have played at major music festivals around the UK and Europe including Glastonbury, Womad, North Sea Jazz, Kendal Calling, Love Supreme and many others. They have also worked alongside major Pop, Rock and Jazz artists, played in Orchestras, Circuses and West End Musicals.
Worker Bee brings the highest standards of musicality, professionalism and fun to wherever we play!

5 Piece Brass Band
Comprising Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Sousaphone and Drums. This is our most versatile setup. We can play acoustically to provide background ambience, we can do surprise ‘pop up’ performances, we can roam through your event or parade down the street. We can also add on a full PA and keep the dance floor full all night!

Adding on a vocalist brings another level to our music. Our high energy frontman coupled with our powerful brass sound makes an unstoppable force.

Worker Bee Brass Band regularly perform at weddings across the Northwest of the UK and beyond.
For each wedding, we talk to you to work out exactly what you want. We have experience of playing at hundreds of events so you can be confident that we will provide a professional, friendly service to make your wedding amazing!We offer a bespoke package that may include:
- Playing for your ceremony
- Surprising your guests by popping up during the wedding
- Leading you and your guests into the venue
- Playing for drinks receptions
- Playing during the meal
- Playing for the evening party
- Providing other musicians such as solo pianists
We are happy to learn a special request if you would like us to play for your first dance.

Corporate Events
Worker Bee Brass Band have played for a wide range of corporate, local government and charity organisations.
We offer a flexible, professional service and can work with your team to help create the best atmosphere for your event. We are used to working with event planers, AV teams, venues of all sizes and dealing with the logistics of putting on events of any scale. Some of the ways that we have helped organisations include:
- Playing for your awards ceremonies
- Providing background music for social events
- Providing evening music for dancing
- Playing for drinks receptions
- Playing during the meal
- Playing to welcome guests as they arrive at the event
- Providing other musicians such as solo pianists
We are happy to learn a special request if required and can also provide short musical ‘stings’ to welcome award recipients to the stage.

Festivals and Other Events
We are the perfect band to enhance your event. Whether a town celebration, a sporting event, a festival or a charity occasion, we bring great music and fun to make the day even more special.
We have played in fields, tents, stately homes, sports centres, schools, town squares and stages at many festivals. We are flexible and professional and guarantee a great experience from the first contact to the end of the event.

Xmas
Worker Bee Brass Band’s first ever gigs were for Christmas events at a well known venue in Manchester. You can’t beat the combination of Brass and Christmas songs to get a party going.
We play all the classic Xmas songs that you would hope to hear and are always adding to our repertoire. We can lead a sing-along, march through your party, play quietly while you drink or take to the stage and get everyone dancing.
